Old Dominion reprised its role as Big-East spoiler, downing Georgetown (8 AP/ESPN) 75-62 at the Hoyas' McDonough Arena. It was, of course, the first time ODU has defeated a ranked team since 1995, when the Monarchs stunned Villanova after three overtime periods in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Pittsburgh (4 AP/5 ESPN) hung on at home against Oakland, 66-55, after trailing by 4 at halftime.
UConn (21 AP/19 ESPN) beat Mississippi 77-59 at the Hartford Civic Center.
Notre Dame crushed The Citadel in South Bend, winning 74-50 after leading 40-12 at halftime.
Rutgers doubled up St. Thomas Aquinas by the score of 82-41 at the always-formidable RAC.
