Live blog of 'Nova-GT tonight

The game will air at 7 p.m. on ESPN, and the live blog (below) should begin at tip time.
[Update] The live blog was a roaring success, but a bad call at the end of the game cost Villanova what would have been its biggest win in several years. If you missed the live blog and would like to take a look at it, you can read it in full below. (Just click the circular arrow.)
Feel free to also comment about the game and the call at the end in this thread until the recap and grades post is up much later tonight.

absolutely horrendous call....that call can not be made at that point in the game after all the bumping and hacking down low that went on all game long....absolutely robbed
thanks refs
my sports world is crashing down on me.
Absolutely brutal. We had no business being in that game, shooting 25%. NEVERTHELESS, how do you let a big east battle like that be decided on the free throw line, 75 feet from the hoop. That ref should choke on his whistle. I can't believe what I just watched. Even though we didnt shoot well, it was clear we wanted that game much more than Gtown. We outhustled them the whole game. So frustrated.
Tonights call made the NC State call look good. It was nice to see Villanova fight for a game, of course after starting the game slowly, AGAIN.
that call is up there with the travel call from the tourney a couple years ago. terrible call. can't decide a game like that.
That's TWO games this season that were completely altered by the refs. The NCAA should have a committee that votes on literally "game-ending calls." We could still be in tournament contention with a record of 16-7 if those calls were not made. BOTTOM LINE, THE GAMES SHOULD NOT BE DECIDED BY REFS. Jay Wright should appeal this call if the rules allow him to. But I don't know these rules.
big thanks to BOB DONATO for ruining my night and ruining rivalry week....you simply cannot let the refs decide the game like that....sickening
Condolences. You deserved better than that. Big East officiating is brutal this season.
That call wasn't too terrible. The Villanova player was clearly stepping in front of the Georgetown player to stop his path down court.
I personally wouldn't have called it because of the game situation, but that was still a foul.
Syracuse got robbed against Georgetown on a play where Hibbert did the same thing on Jonny Flynn but much worse. Hibbert made hard contact with Flynn with a few seconds left and it wasn't called.
The guy in charge of officiating said that was a wrong call, but it was too late to do anything. The same will probably go for the 'Nova-Georgetown game.
I'm sick over this game. I know Jay Wright's a classy coach who as a matter of policy doesn't criticize the refs, but he had to say something after the game here. You have to stick up for your player. Easily the worst call I've ever seen go against Nova in the 25 years I've been watching them. Bob Donato needs to be suspended or publicly reprimanded for blowing that call.
On a side note. Did I see Malcolm Grant got in the game? So... What's going on with him if he's not leaving the team?
Hands down the worst call I've ever seen in college basketball. Big East refs have been terrible all year, but this is the final straw. Jay Wright should throw class to the wind for tonight, because the refs showed no class and no knowledge of the game of basketball. You let the players decide at the end of a game like this, if that means overtime then so be it. Villanova showed a couple of things to me: defense is improving, we can beat any team on any given night (we should've won this game), and georgetown once again is overrated and has the refs in their pocket.
Reading the live blog was very entertaining...I actually got to see the game in person and let me tell you, when that foul was called, all the GT fans let out a huge cheer of course, but up in the Nova nosebleed section there was just a vacuum of stunned silence...We went in expecting to get blown out, and then were so excited that we had the ball with the score tied with 30 seconds to go...and then just...nothing. I'm not sure I can bring myslef to watch the rest of the season.
