Live blog for G'town today

If you're stuck at work or school for one of the biggest Villanova games in recent memory, or simply watching from home, join Let's Go Nova at 12 noon today for a live blog of the Villanova-Georgetown game in the Big East Tournament.

After a huge win over Syracuse in the first round of the BET, Villanova faces the top-seeded Georgetown Hoyas in Madison Square Garden in New York.

Though the Syracuse victory may have already earned Villanova an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament, a win over the Hoyas would remove all doubt, and would vault the Wildcats off the 12-seed line into more hospitable territory.

The game will air live on ESPN nationwide at 12 noon. Check this post for the live blog shortly before tip time.

I do not think Nova is out of the woods yet. I still do not see it as unreasonable to say that they are in though. Look at West Virginia, they are IN and I I believe Nova is more deserving than they are. West Viriginia has literally beaten no one. Their only leg to stand on is the 11-7 Big East record that was against the bottom feeders in the league. Also Nova smacked them down by 20+ pts. WVU can lick my Pittsnoggle.

So Villanova...how does it feel to beaten by unreal shooting?

haha, lick my Pittsnoggle.

Oh and hey up there anon, remember those days with those guys Randy Foye and Allan Ray. Wallace, Summers, and that kid freshman DON'T EVEN COMPARE!! Lets see you guys get to an elite 8, with the big 0 Hibbert.

i don't like joe lunardi but he is almost always within 1 or 2 teams of being dead on come selection sunday.

i hope bilas and davis are right but i don't see us making the tourney... we need lots of fellow bubble teams to lose and we need the commitee to look at the blown calls and basically give us credit for taking georgetown to ot in their building. otherwise, syracuse (an nit team) is probably our best win away from home and that does not bode well for us.

uconn lost but pitt can help us out if they make a deep run in the big east tourney.

I really don't see how some of you can be so confident we'll get in.

Remember Syracuse's resume last year? It ain't easy, and 1 win over the Orange this year cannot be enough to catapult us.

What else did we do during the regular season? Sure we have sour grapes vs NCSt and GTown, but I don't think we'll even be up against another team to where that becomes a talking point.

We need lots of other teams to blow it for themselves down the stretch.

Or I could be totally missing something... can someone fill me in?

And oh yea.. this game bothered me a lot today. We totally had it and then all of a sudden we're being blown out. Tough loss to deal with... GTown wouldn't even hit that many threes in 28 attempts in a warm-up.
