The new ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll rates Villanova at #16, and the updated AP poll ranks the 'Cats at #17.
Next up for Villanova is a road game with a hot Providence team on Wednesday.

This game could go either way without any surprises. Providence is a good, experienced team who can play with anybody and will most likely get an NCAA bid. Dante just needs to set the tone and be a force early and Stokes needs to light it up for once.
I have not seen Providence play yet this year (only BE team I've somehow avoided), but I don't think anyone NEEDS to do anything for Nova. Except for Cunningham who is as reliable as they come. Outside of him, who knows and who cares who contributes big. Redding, Anderson, Stokes, Fisher, Reynolds (wow, Reynolds just naturally came to mind last out of those guys). I'd like to see Fish with 5+ dishes and an alley-oop for entertainment sake though.
Yeah, I have still not seen an alley-oop live, so they should throw them more often.
good read about the villanova squad on philly.com
