Villanova's highly touted incoming guards for 2007 inked their letters of intent today, according to a press release posted at Villanova's official site.
Corey Fisher, Corey Stokes, and Malcolm Grant will all join the 'Cats for the 2007-2008 season. With Scottie Reynolds retuning for his sophomore year, could the 4-guard offense be back for Villanova? Let's hope so, if last year's results were any indication of its effectiveness.
The two Coreys hail from New Jersey and were both heavily recruited on the national scene, and Grant is considered one of the best point guards coming out of New York City.
Stokes (pictured right) is expected to add a scoring boost immediately. Jay Wright swoons over his smooth stroke:
Corey is probably one of the best shooters we have ever recruited at Villanova. [...] Corey brings size, toughness and a great basketball IQ."
With the addition of these three new guards, Villanova is well on its way on becoming "guard country" on a national scale.
