A Villanova fan by the handle of "Ray Foye Combo" has uploaded the entire Villanova-LSU game as an 800 MB Xvid file.

The quality on the video is decent. I would describe it as a few notches below VHS, but it is certainly watchable. If you are having trouble opening the video, download and install the VLC media player.

The December 6 game was one of the greatest comebacks in the history of college basketball, with Villanova overcoming a 21-point deficit with 8 minutes to play to win by one points. Villanova trailed by as many as 15 points with under 3 minutes on the clock in this incredible game.

The game is best remembered, however, for Malcolm Grant's unbelievable effort to bring the Wildcats back. Grant singlehandedly took over the game and willed Villanova to the win.

Unfortunately for Villanova fans, the university announced last week that it would release Grant to explore a transfer. Despite his heroics in the LSU, Rutgers, and Pittsburgh games, Grant found himself glued to the bench for the rest of the season by coach Jay Wright.

Grant's effort in the LSU game prevented Villanova from what would have been a horrendous semi-home loss, which would have certainly kept the 'Cats out of the NCAA tournament and the Sweet 16.

I was at the Wachovia Center for the game, and it was one of most memorable sports experiences of my life.

pete -

i have this image of you blogging in a dark room illuminated only by the pale glow of your computer screen, pizza boxes strewn about the floor, hundreds of malcolm grant photos and posters hanging on your walls, and malcolm grant sheets on your bed.

I second Holland...you need to let the Grant thing go. There was a reason he did not play. Jay did not give the reason because he didnt want to bad mouth some kid on his team and create ripples that way. Tear down the Grant posters, buy a Tyreke jersey, put Stokes as your screen saver, and buy a cat and name him Scottie. LET IT GO...

how can you expect to let the grant thing go when grant was so phenomonal and completely mistreated. i feel bad for grant, he did not deserve this.

a week ago i would've loved to download and watch this game over, but now it just seems too painful knowing that we won't have grant to save us next time.

if anyone is interested in who the cman is, he can be found behind the bench in the closing thirty seconds of the lsu game with a tan backwards hat and dark blue FDNY shirt. i was at ground zero (pardon the expression) for grants explosion and it was probably the best thing iv ever seen in my life.

I'v been on the court after a UNC over duke win at chapel hill.

I'v been on the field at the horseshoe after the Buckeyes beat Michigan in the season finaly before they won their most previous nat championship.

I'v been on Hofstra field after St anthonys (Huntington, ny) beat chaminade to win the lacrosse championship.

Grant might have been the best thing I'v ever seen. The guy plays harder than anyone I'v ever seen and is what sports is all about.

He will be missed and so will my love for Villanova Basketball.

So long Villanova.
