#15 Villanova (11-1) vs. Temple (5-5)
7 p.m., 29 December at the Pavilion.

TV: ESPNU or free online. [Fullscreen here].

Line: Villanova -9

Villanova looks to wrap up an undefeated Philadelphia Big 5 season and city series championship tonight with a home game against the Temple Owls.

Temple has been struggling a bit, and brings a 5-5 record to the Pavilion. Villanova is favored by 9, but the Owls are a dangerous team capable of beating tough opponents.

Temple has a 16-point win over Tennessee under its belt already, and played undefeated Clemson to a 4-point margin in South Carolina.

The Owls also feature one of the best players in the county, the scoring guard Dionte Christmas, who should keep his Wildcat defenders very busy.

All that said, this is a game Villanova should be able to win if the Wildcats execute well.

As always, take a look at the game previews from VBTN, IBBW, VUhoops, and Nova News.

this is the first time i have predicted a nova loss all season. I guess that equals "always" in your mind.

I think Christmas and the HUGE coaching edge Dunphry has over Wright will be too much to overcome, especially in an empty Pavilion.

Pete, your comment "the HUGE coaching edge Dunphry has over Wright will be too much to overcome... is right up there with "read my lips, no new taxes."

Well I don't think it was Jay Wright's excellent coaching that caused Fisher to score 20 points on contested shots... but I'll take the win.

Fran Dunphry is one of the worst coaches in D1 basketball. I'm shocked to hear that comparison. Even Cheyney was better than Dunphry.

LOL how was that huge coaching advantage for Dunphy? He really put a offensive clinic on tonight. What was it? 10 minutes without a FG? Jay is by far a better coach than Dunphy.
