#20 Villanova (14-4) at South Florida (7-11)
12 p.m., 24 January 2009 at the USF Sun Dome.
TV: SNY (New York) / WPHL (Philadelphia)
Line: Villanova -6
Villanova travels to Tampa, Fla, this weekend to face the South Florida Bulls at noon on Saturday. Villanova needs a win to get to .500 in league play and keep the Wildcats' NCAA hopes remotely alive.
USF is trying to avoid a losing record for the season, and finds itself 4 games under .500 at 7-11.
The Bulls own a pair of wins over DePaul this season, but haven't beaten anyone else remotely decent. USF did stick with West Virginia in Morgantown, losing by three.
KenPom predicts gives Villanova a 70 percent chance to get the win on the road, predicting a 65-60 victory.
Take a look at all four of the blogs linked at the right sidebar for previews.
Try to the final score in the comment thread below. Congratulations to a reader named "Pete Bangs Men" for most closely predicting the final score last time.

What is that a picture of?
"...Villanova needs a win to get to .500 in league play and keep the Wildcats' NCAA hopes remotely alive..."
How do you figure? Does this conclusion include a prognostication of the remaining Conf. games?
Villanova 70
USF 55
You suck at writing and this site is AWFUL
@Thundercat --
That is a picture of the "Tampa Sea Monster" which also happens to look like a bull skull, sort of.
@Lhead --
Well if we were to lose this one, we'd fall to 2-4 and it would be difficult to get out of that hole, considering the strength of our remaining schedule.
@1:03 --
AWFUL, you say?
Did anyone else read the user name of who predicted the score? ROFLCOPTER
NCAA Hope Remotely alive??????!!!!! We have lost to 4 really good teams by a combined total of 23 points. We have no blow out losses and if we finish 9-9 with SOS we have we will most likely be in the NCAA. We should be able to sweep Providence ( 2 wins), beat Depaul ( 1 win) , beat Cincinnati (1 Win), beat Rutgers (1 win), and then upset (we only have to beat one of these teams at HOME Syracuse, Marquette, or Georgetown) we would get to 9-9 in league play and I believe we would make the NCAA. I am shocked that the Webmaster doesn't thibk this is possible. Its not like we have to win all remaining 12 games.
Jim Boeheim is a worse coach than Jay Wright. Want proof?
Nova lost at home by 1 to a LVille team who missed 22 three-pointers. Pete pointed out this was a feat only Jay Wright could pull off.
Syracuse lost at home by 10 to a LVille team who missed 23 three-pointers.
It looks like Jay Wright is not unique. Eat crow.
Along those same lines..I noted that UCONN spanked ND IN SOUTH BEND...while Nova almost caught UCONN @ home. Nova can be critiqued but no one should run them down and out!
SETON HALL BEAT GTOWN!
Ken Pomeroy still predicts VU to go 11-7 in conference. He was almost dead on accurate last year in his Nova regular season projection.
Look, they have lost to the top three teams in the BE, or 3 of the top 4 teams. Does the team have flaws? Sure. But once again our host is letting his almost insane hatred of Wright color his view of the team.
BTW. That Corey Stokes Assault/Foul was pretty crazy. Need to see if it made youtube.
